Victor Perez is a fourteen year-old boy who lives with his grandmother in North Philadelphia. He's a freshman at Gloucester Catholic High School in Gloucester, New Jersey, an aspiring musician, and is often torn between his rebellious impulses and his grandmother's expectations of what a "good boy" should be like.
He is also a recently-Chrysalized satyr wilder, who is still learning about the world of the fae, and his place in it.
